Hotel log book
As part of the covid 19 safety measures for public health protection San Salvatore Monastery keeps an updated record of staff members and all guests staying at the hotel – name, nationality, date of arrival and departure, contact details (address, telephone, e-mail), so that communication is possible if a coronavirus case is identified at a later time.
All relevant personal information will be kept on file for reasons of public health protection.
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is provided as standard.
Cleaning, disinfection, housekeeping and COVID 19:
• We follow enhanced disinfection and deep cleaning practices in accordance to EODY instructions.
• Meticulous cleaning and very good room ventilation takes place between stays of guests.
• Fabric surfaces are cleaned with a steam appliance.
• Guests with covid 19 symptoms should contact the Hotel Manager and stay in their apartment.
• The frequent cleaning of rooms during the stay of guest is avoided.
• The daily change of sheets, pillowcases and towels is only carried out upon the request of guests.
• Guests should open the doors and windows of their apartment daily for natural ventilation.
• Individual antiseptic gels are placed in each room.
Meals
When breakfast is included in room price or selected as an additional service, two options are available. Breakfast basket or full breakfast service at a nearby cafe. More information: https://www.sansalvador.gr/breakfast.html
Smoke free policy
We are committed to providing guests with smoke-free guestrooms.
We provide designated outdoor smoking areas to accommodate the needs of guests who smoke.
A room recovery fee is included in the security deposit for guests who do not comply in order to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.

Guests' rights and obligations
San Salvatore Monastery is licensed under EOT, the Greek Ministry of Tourism. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the "rights and obligations of hotel guests and hotels" ( Law No 1652/30-10-1986) applies. Our policies are inline with national legislation.

Due to covid 19 safety measures the general check in policy for 2021 is :
Check in: Upon arrangement. A minimum of 4 hours is needed between guests. | Check out :11:00 - Exclusive for direct bookings and loyalty club members 24h check in- Subject to availability | Late check out 16:00 (secured at the time of booking)
- All guests need to make an appointment for check-in. Special requests are subject to availability.
- Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon arrival.
- A security deposit of EUR 300 is pre-authorised on credit card and removed within 0-3 days from check out. This deposit is subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.

- Early check in or late check out:Upon availability /agreement.
- Shuttle service: Chania airport 25 euro. Send us your flight details and we will arrange your transfer.
- Private parking: 50 euro per day. We are happy to have one of the very few private parking areas in the entire old town. We are also privileged to be located right next to the free public parking area so guests are advised to take advantage based on their needs.
- Laundry: Fee: 15 euro per wash.
