 Driving/walking  instructions to our apartments

From bus station/downtown

If you are walking from the bus station to our apartments you can take either one of these routes; either follow Pireos street or walk Chalidon and then Akti Kountourioti.
We find the route via Pireos street to be the easiest to walk and follow, especially if you are carrying heavy luggage. This should not take more that 15-20 min. You can follow the same route if you are driving.

Alternatively, if you feel like exploring the general area, walk down Chalidon street until you get to the Venetian Harbour (use Starbucks on your left as your reference point at the end of Chalidon street) and then turn left on to the promenade (Akti Kountourioti) and follow all the way around, past the Nautical Museum and then left into Theotokopoulou Street.
You can take a short cut through Zambeliou Street to Theotokopoulou Street but you might not find it very comfortable to walk up-hill over the cobble-stone pathways and steps.

From the Airport
Driving from Chania Airport to the San Salvatore Monastery will take you about 30 min (16 km). On leaving Chania Airport, follow the road which goes from the airport exit to the National Road (EO Aerodromiou Soudas). At the first interchange ( 1km from the airport) turn left and at the second interchange(after 3.5 km) turn right. Continue strait ahead through Akrotiriou street, Koundourou street, El Venizelou street, Ch. Giannari  street (Public Market on the right), and finally on Skalidi street turn right to Pireos street and again right following the Venecian Walls (Talos sq.) Leave your car at the public carpark. The apartment is just 100m away.
